Top 10 Best US Jobs | Despite an increase in coronavirus infections brought on by the omicron version, there are plenty of new job prospects in the U.S. labor market. Numerous top positions provide flexible work schedules and six-figure pay, according to recent data.

Tuesday saw the publication of Glassdoor’s 50 Best Jobs in America 2022 survey, which focused on employers with at least 100 wage reports and 2,000 job listings on its website as of December 2021. The top jobs on the list include those with lots of job opportunities, great job satisfaction, and high earning potential.

As demand for mental health services continues to climb despite the ongoing epidemic, psychiatrists (ranked #22) and psychologists (ranked #34) made the best occupations list for the first time. Though tech jobs dominate the list, claiming nine spots in the top 10.

According to Daniel Zhao, a senior economist and data scientist at Glassdoor, “Today, every company is a tech company.”

Because of how abrupt and unpredictably this crises’ developments have been, “the epidemic has particularly accentuated the usefulness of data; more businesses are turning to real-time data to understand what’s going on and make decisions.”

The top position on the list is enterprise architect, which involves directing the coordination and development of an organization’s IT systems. Full stack engineer and data scientist are the next two positions on the list. According to Zhao, these positions have high job satisfaction ratings because they are better suited for flexible work schedules, which is a perk that both employees and job seekers are looking for given the current pandemic.

1. Enterprise architect

An enterprise architect is in charge of the complete IT platform infrastructure for the organization. Designing processes, recording crucial IT procedures, monitoring project progress, and keeping a security focus are just a few of the enterprise architect’s major responsibilities.

2. Full stack engineer 

Full stack engineers create the user interfaces for websites, build the servers and databases that enable website functionality, and create the code for mobile platforms.

They collaborate with graphic designers to develop web design elements and manage jobs from start to end.

Salary: $101,794

3. Data scientist 

Data scientists gather, examine, and understand massive amounts of data using their programming, statistical, and analytical talents. They then apply this knowledge to create data-driven responses to challenging business situations.

Salary: $120,000

4. DevOps engineer

A DevOps engineer combines knowledge of both engineering and coding and collaborates with many departments to construct systems for a business. A DevOps engineer boosts efficiency at work by developing and deploying systems software and using data analysis to enhance current technologies.

Salary: $120,095

5. Strategy manager

Strategy managers evaluate a company to identify its strengths, weaknesses, operational effectiveness, and areas for improvement. They then suggest efforts to reduce risks and create long-term goal-achieving plans.

Salary: $140,000

6. Machine learning engineer

The creators of self-running software that gives machines the ability to automate predictive models are known as machine learning engineers. These engineers collaborate with data scientists to gather information and incorporate carefully selected data into models that they have developed or found.

Salary: $130,489 

7. Data engineer

Data engineers are primarily responsible for converting data into a format that can be easily studied. By creating, sustaining, and testing infrastructures for data creation, they achieve this.

Salary: $113,960

8. Software engineer

Software engineers create, test, debug, and maintain computer programs that tell computers how to do things like save data, make computations, and more. What needs to happen will be translated by a software engineer into one of many programming languages, the most popular of which being Python, C++, and Java.

9. Java developer
